Atul Dodiya is a contemporary Indian artist known for his paintings, sculptures, and installations. He was born in Mumbai in 1959 and studied at the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai and École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Dodiya's work often explores themes of cultural identity, politics, and art history, and combines elements of Western and Indian artistic traditions. His paintings often feature vibrant colors and layered textures, with references to artists such as Picasso, M.F. Husain, and Raja Ravi Varma. His sculptures and installations use a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and found objects, to create three-dimensional works that engage with the viewer's physical space.

In addition to his artistic practice, Dodiya is also an art educator and has taught at several institutions, including the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.
