Biju Parthan was a contemporary Indian artist known for his abstract paintings and digital art. He was born in Kerala in 1956 and began his career as a painter in the 1980s, after completing his studies at the College of Fine Arts in Trivandrum.
Parthan's artistic practice was characterized by his use of digital technology to create complex, layered images that explored themes such as spirituality, identity, and the relationship between the natural and the artificial. His work often combined traditional Indian motifs and iconography with contemporary digital imagery, creating a unique synthesis of past and present.
In addition to his digital art, Parthan also created paintings that were abstract and minimalist in style. These works often featured monochromatic backgrounds with subtle variations in texture and tone.
