Himmat Shah is an Indian artist known for his sculptures and drawings that often explore the themes of nature, mythology, and human emotions. He was born in 1933 in Lothal, Gujarat, and studied at the J.J. School of Art in Mumbai. Later, he went on to study sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Baroda.
Shah's artistic practice is characterized by his interest in the use of materials such as terracotta, bronze, and stone. His sculptures often feature human or animal figures, rendered in a simplified, stylized manner that emphasizes their essential qualities.
