PRADEEP PUTHOOR

Pradeep Puthoor is an Indian contemporary artist known for his mixed-media works that explore the intersection of science, nature, and spirituality. He was born in Kerala, India, in 1976 and studied at the Government College of Fine Arts in Thrissur.

Puthoor's artwork often incorporates a wide range of materials and techniques, including drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. His works are characterized by their intricate details, vibrant colors, and juxtaposition of disparate elements, such as scientific diagrams, botanical specimens, and religious symbols. He is particularly interested in exploring the ways in which traditional Indian knowledge systems intersect with contemporary scientific knowledge.

Puthoor has exhibited his work widely in India and abroad, including at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, and the Venice Biennale. He has received several awards and honors for his contributions to the field of art, including the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Award in 2010 and the India Foundation for the Arts Grant in 2008.
