The third edition of the Cartist Festival took place at the Taj Jai Mahal Palace Hotel, Jaipur from 12-16 April 2017. More than 100 artists from across India took part in the festival to participate and showcase their art. During the weeklong event, solo automobile art exhibitions of artist Renu Bala , Siddharth Kararwal, Assam's Anirban Dhar etc. were organized. Art lovers saw and appreciated the art of different styles through this demonstration. Other auto art installations demonstrated were Car Sculptures made out of Rock, Beetle, Jaguar Car Models wired structures, Terra-cotta designer Car, Vintage cars etc.
The unique attraction of 2017 festival was leaving the legacy of automobile art on Vintage cars-India witnessed artwork on Vintage Cars for the first time- painted live by some of the prominent artists of the country. Workshops were organized on Calligraphy, Pottery, Street Art, Clay Modelling, Tribal Art, Sketching, Caricature, Photography, Wood Art, Mono Print, and Scooter Art. Children from various schools including Janki Devi, The Palace School took active participation in Art Workshops, where Artist Sant Kumar taught the basic principles of charcoal painting, and Harishankar Balothia made basic adaptations of calligraphy.
The festival hosted Art Talks by some of the distinguished artists from across the country including India's famous Sculpture Artist, Dhruv Mistry, Navroz Contractor, , Vidyasagar Upadhyay ,Vinay Sharma ,Vicky Roy and Automobile Expert, Avik Chattopadhyay The festival provides an opportunity for the public and artists to interact and exchange ideas to promote art and culture.
