Mahindra Auto - Awards for sustainability

The two organizations came together to design and curate an award trophy for the "Sustainability Champion awards." This demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and the environment, which is crucial for the future of our planet. The collaboration also highlights the importance of creativity and innovation in design. By working with an art organization like Cartist, Mahindra was able to create a unique and visually appealing trophy that reflects its values and commitment to sustainability. Overall, this collaboration between Cartist and Mahindra is a great example of how different organizations can come together to achieve a common goal and promote sustainability.

Inspiration: Waves 🌊

Trophy: Jal ( जल )

Parts used: scrap Rotor, scrap car sheet metal, packaging wood
Thought Process: We conceptualised and designed the trophy in three parts. The upper body symbolises waves, which could be interpreted in many ways, such as rhythm, flow, energy, positivity, force. We created this from the metal scrap sheet of a car. The middle portion is created from the scrap of an electric motor "Rotar". The Rotar helps the motor to transfer mechanical power, similarly we should use waste and scrap into usable products to save the Mother Earth. We painted this part in green to reflect a strong connect with nature. The bottom part is made using packing wood, signifying strong roots and connect to green energy.

Inspiration: Tree 🌳

Trophy: Vriksha वृक्ष

Thought Process: The upper section reflects a tree, which signifies growth, prosperity, renewal, newness, life. The tree part is made up of a car metal sheet. The middle portion is created from the scrap of an electric motor "Rotar". The Rotar helps the motor to transfer mechanical power, similarly we should use waste and scrap into usable products to save Mother Earth. We painted this part in green to reflect a strong connect with nature. The bottom part is made using packing wood, signifying strong roots and connect to green energy.

Trophy: Beej बीज 🌱

Inspiration: how one seed can transform and grow into a tree

Part used: Scrap rotor, bearing, scrap metal and packing wood
Thought Process: The upper part is designed to reflect a seed, a symbol of hope, life, new beginning, restoration, continuance. We made this section from bearing, which reflects seed here and how a seed will grow eventually into a tree.The middle portion is created from the scrap of an electric motor "Rotar". The Rotar helps the motor to transfer mechanical power, similarly we should use waste and scrap into usable products to save the Mother Earth. We painted this part in green to reflect a strong connect with nature. The bottom part is made using packing wood, signifying strong roots and connect to green energy.

Trophy: Rachna रचना

Inspiration: Design language of Bauhaus movement.

Part used: scrap rotor, bearing , scrap metal and packing wood
Thought Process: The upper part denotes a triangle inside a circle. This is a reflection of the design language of the Bauhaus movement. Moreover it calls for a commitment to protect from the world trapped inside the world of consumerism. Instead the design reinforces us to imagine and think beyond consumerism and ways to restore the Mother Earth from insatiable greed of consumption.The middle portion is created from the scrap of an electric motor "Rotar". The Rotar helps the motor to transfer mechanical power, similarly we should use waste and scrap into usable products to save the Mother Earth. We painted this part in green to reflect a strong connect with nature.
